My bows begin with the raw materials of pernambuco, ebony, flat sheets of silver and gold, abalone shells and slices of fossilized Mastodon ivory.  These materials are planned, carved, filed, hammered, heated and bent into what will eventually become a fine handmade bow.

Pernambuco is varied in its density, resiliency and strength as well as many beautiful colors. The pernambuco I have collected was carefully selected to offer me a wide range of characteristics to match the specific needs of different players.

Gathering fine materials takes years of searching and considerable financial investment.  It is also important to me that the materials are ethically sourced.
